Why is lil wayne so controversial?

If you don't like a particular artists music, don't listen to it. Good or bad is a matter of perspective and opinion and we all have them.Its hard to judge an artist by only the few songs that get played on the radio. He has been around for a long time, only became mainstream in the past couple years. He has come a long way from cash money days. After hearing the song "dontgetit" I understand a lot more about him- he's pretty funny.. He plays the guitar, he has good beats- he's doing what he loves I can't fault him for that. Live and let live-to each his own
