Possibly the oddest question ever but who knows...?

oxytocin helps induce labor right? well i read oxytocin comes from the of a pregnant woman aswell as other places. BUT (heres where its weird) if a woman was to ingest the oxytocin from her would it induce labor? i know its a weird question but i just read about it and am confused. any outlooks?
