Pregnant and had an abnormal pap smear?

im almost 11 weeks pregnant, my dr. just called and said i had an abnormal pap smear, that i dont have cancer but they wanna look with a microscope thing when i go in for my next apt. January 7. they said it could be hormones they wanna see if they need to give me cream or what it is. but it really scared me what could cause an abnormal pap smear when pregnant. my pap smear i had about a year ago was normal! it really has me worried. has this happened to anyone else?!!
