How to transport distressed tomatoe plants 3 hrs away in pick up truck?

Help....i have about 20 distressed tomatoe plants that I just bought and I need to get then home which is 3 hrs away.they will be in back of truck. They are already wilted. Most are about 3 ft tall. Some have tomatoes on them already. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
