Can't remember a certain anime.?

I'm trying to remember an anime I watched in the mid-late 90's. I think it was about two sisters (or maybe friends). One of them falls in love with the bad guy, and he kills her. I think they were on a spaceship. The bad guy had white hair if I remember correctly and I think I remember him wearing a cape. And I think he used some sort of magic or something like the force. When he killed the girl all he had to do was point his fingers or something like that, and he killed her from a ways away. I think he was sad he had to kill her too. And she dies in her friendss/sister's arm. It was all very dramatic. I hope somebody out there remembers something. I've been dying to see if I still think it's good.
