Advise on immigration waiver?

First let me say, I am not sure if this is a pardon or waiver. My lawyer told me that we are submitting an affidavit hardship waiver, so that my husband can come back to the US, and just yesterday I was told that the pardon might be denied, now please read on............ I am a US citizen, and I am married to an illegal immigrant from Albania. He entered the country from Canada, and has lived here and paid taxes since 1999. We are in the final stages of completing his immigration papers. We have a lawyer working on our extreme hardship, and we will be leaving for Albania in 2 weeks. I am getting very worried, as I have been told it is most likely that the pardon could get denied, as statistically 50% of all cases worldwide are denied. We have a 2 year old son together, own our own home and a small business. I am extremely emotional and would like to hear from anyone that might have been in a similar situation, or know of someone that has. I can't bear the thought of losing my family and I need some advise. Thank you.
